CS, born in 1970, graduated in 1997 with a degree in aerospace engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. From 1997 to 2008, he worked as a research fellow at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Institute of Structural Mechanics. In 2008, he obtained his doctorate in engineering from the Carolo-Wilhemina University of Technology in Bunswick, Germany. In 2008, he moved from research to industry. At the Voith Group in Heidenheim, Germany, he held various positions with both technical and personnel responsibility. From 2015, he was involved in corporate research at the Voith Hydro Division. Since 2021, he has been employed at the PWT GmbH, where he works at the interface between SME and the OEM industry.
CS has 25 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering. Of these, more than 10 years were spent in the industrial environment of a major research institution and in the R&D department of an international industrial group. He also has several years of experience in the service sector of a medium-sized company. His professional background covers a broad range of structural mechanics topics in metal construction and fiber composite technology, as well as structural dynamics issues. He has extensive experience in the application of the finite element method and in the planning and implementation of complex experimental procedures.
